Industry: Golf  ·  Project: Eleven utility vehicles  ·  Facility: approximately £225,000 over 36 months, operating lease

Overview

A private members golf club needed eleven utility vehicles for course maintenance, greenkeeping and general estate work. The package came to around £225,000.

Golf course under maintenance

Challenge

The club wanted current vehicles without carrying the risk of what they would be worth in three years, and its committee preferred a fixed, predictable annual cost that could be set against the maintenance budget rather than a capital purchase requiring member approval.

Solution

We arranged an operating lease over 36 months. The club pays a fixed monthly figure for use of the vehicles and hands them back at the end of the term, with no exposure to residual values and a clear route to refreshing the fleet.

Results

  • Eleven vehicles in service across the course and estate
  • Fixed monthly cost set against the maintenance budget
  • No residual value risk at the end of the term
  • Straightforward route to refreshing the fleet in three years
